About 2 hours later our new room with a beautiful view of the roof of the parking garage including a huge spotlight shining at our window was ready. (It was after 5:00) So now we had to leave our luggage with the bellman - walking back to the parking garage to do so-and wait for a call saying the room was ready. After going back to the front desk and waiting in line again I was told we would have to wait for another room to be ready. The first room they sent me to was right by the elevator and had dirty drink glasses in front of the door and when I tried to open the door it seemed to be locked from the inside. I had visited the casino last year and was so unimpressed that I was leary of staying here but the reviews indicated some updating had occurred in the hotel and I am a loyal Harrah's patron so I figured I'd give it a try. Stayed four nights at Harrah's Gulf Coast.
